Notice the little things, Barcelona

Try to notice the little things when photographing places you travel to. You never know what you can find that make the place you visit special. We all photograph landmarks and that is great but take a look and see the details.

I took a workshop last year and part of the workshop was an photo exercise. Pick a spot and only photograph within 5 feet around you. You would be surprised what is around you and how you can creatively capture what you see.

The photos here are from my trip to Barcelona. The cactus what at the home where friends of our were staying. this cactus was Big, tall, imposing and beautiful.

Ship in Miniature, and two local events

We visited the The Museu Marítim (Maritime Museum) in Barcelona on our trip to Spain. My husband is a boat lover and I decided to tag along. He is introduced me to ship models quite
awhile ago.

I love things in miniature and fascinated by all the work that goes into these models. Ship models have been made since people took to the water. Love seeing all those tiny details. I can't imagine how long they take to make and perfect the craft of model making. I have to admit I didn't appreciate ship models but have come to love them

This show will be hosted in the lower gallery at the Dedham Community Theatre!
