Asparagus Forest, Dedham Farmer's Market

Who can resist a Framer's Market? I was so excited that the Dedham Farmer's Market is now open every Wednesday 3-7pm at the First Church in Dedham. Dedham Square Circle asked me to take photos of the Bell ringing to open the market. This is the 10th year of the Market. The vegetables are fresh and very colorful. It is hard not to photograph them

The Dedham Square Artist Guild had a table at the Market. We a sampling of our gallery/shop including my new tote bag designs.
We also had jewelry, pottery, paintings, cards and more on display

Sue Hoy was on hand and doing a painting demonstration

Water, gives life

In March, we took a trip to the San Fransisco for a family and friends visit. California went through a drought for many years. The rains had finally arrived. It is a good thing for California and it has turned everything green. I have been to this area when it was all brown and burnt from the sun. That has it's own beauty.

The bottom photo is a pic of the Koi that lived at our hotel. I tried everyday to get the perfect photo. My photo taking of Koi needs work but, I like it anyway. They are funny fish and very beautiful

Graffiti and stickers in NYC

New York city is a sophisticated city but has it's graffiti and thrown up stickers in many places throughout the city. On our walks, I spotted quite a bit of this rogue art or maybe not art, it depends how you look at it. These photos are taken in the Bowery and Chelsea neighborhoods of NYC, where I was visiting. I love taking pictures of these streetscapes. This may not be popular subjects for many photographers or viewers but, what the heck I like it.
