Winter Walk, Wilson Mountain, Dedham

I love my walks in the woods especially, in Wilson Mountain in Dedham. Wilson is not really a mountain but, it is a lovely spot. It is the largest open space in Dedham. I often hike the blue trail and search for beauty in nature. Mushrooms, moss, funky bark all attract my attention. It can delay a walk progress by photographing nature but it all worth it.

Wilson Mountain Reservation is a state-owned, public recreation area and protected woodland park in Dedham, Massachusetts. Wilson Mountain is the highest point in Dedham at 295 feet

Amsterdam, a walk of surprises

I love walking in cities and especially, European cities. They are very different from American Cities. They are usually older with more historic buildings. Just something different to experience.

I recommend people visit the Netherlands and Amsterdam. It is a fun, fascinating and quirky city. It is a city that is fun to walk and photograph.

The Land of Bikes, Netherlands

Whenever you take a trip to Netherlands you will see a ton of bikes and they are everywhere. You may know that I love to take photos of bikes. I am not sure what is my attraction to bikes. A majority of bikes in Netherlands seem to be only one speed or three speeds.Even new they look vintage. Stay tuned for more photos from my trip.

Catacombs, Realm of the Dead

This is one of the creepiest places I have ever been. We made a visit to the catacombs on this past trip to Paris. About 6 million bodies are in these tunnels. A fraction of the tunnels is open to the public. It is enough to get that creepy feeling. It was perfect for a October visit! I have visited the catacombs years ago and still holds my imagination.

Cape Cod wandering - photo workshop

I recently went on this workshop adventure - Cape Cod Weekend PhotoJourneys Workshop by Kathy Tarantola. We had many early morning sunrise photographing and sunset photographing. I made good use of my new 24-85mm and my stand buy Tokina macro lens.

Colorful Flyers

On days when it is hot, I would rather go to a museum than the beach. Not much of a beach person myself. I am never fond of too much sun. We decided to visit the Museum of Science the other day. We visited the Frog and Spider exhibit, the National park photos by QT Luong, which were all great

We also, visited the Butterfly Garden at the Museum. This is a permanent exhibit at the museum. Years ago, we had visited the garden and decided on another visit. It was pretty great I  often try to photograph butterflies when I see them but, the flutter about and move rather quickly for a picture. This garden gave me a chance to photograph them. This was a treat!

Eclectic Mix

Walking around Chinatown in Boston can be so fun. It is a small section of Boston but, chock full of details and sights. My relatives and I went to Dim Sum for lunch and then explored Boston common for a bit. The last photo is the Boylston St., MBTA subway stop on the edge of Chinatown. You can say the station looks very old or vintage. More photos soon...

Dim Sum Fun

We had wonderful Dim Sum lunch at Hei la Moon on the Edge of Chinatown in Boston. It is one of my favorite spots for Dim Sum. It is quite a busy place at lunchtime so go early or a little later.

Love all the Shumai and dumplings. The restaurant has tanks with lobsters and crabs, which are kind of fun to photograph. The crabs seem so huge to me. Can't wait to go back!

Chinatown, Boston

I just love taking photos with my phone and using Intagram. I love the quickness of it and adding filters and sometimes doing Tilt shift. There are limitations of course and I still use my Nikon 7200.
Since, I have my phone with me always it makes it easy to get a quick pic during my travels and walks. Right now I have a samsung Galaxy 5 and I hope that an upgrade will make the
photos even better quality.

This is my address for Instagram

Both photos, Legacy Place, Dedham

Wilson Mountain, Dedham MA

It was so beautiful out yesterday. We took a walk on the Wilson Mountain reservation in Dedham. Wilson Mountain is the highest point in Dedham at 295 feet. Not really a mountain! I just love this spot and so happy we have this in Dedham. Love the plants, trails and the peacefulness.
