King and Lights, Boston

I finally made a trip into Boston with the thought I would find some funky subjects in Chinatown and downtown Boston. This is a well worn path for me but you just never know if you will see something new. I found a few things. Kind of fun to have little discoveries.

Delicate Shell, Moose Hill Farm, Sharon, MA

I have been remarking to friends on how lucky we are to have so many places to visit and hike in my area of Massachusetts. Only several miles from my home are all these beautiful nature spots.

I have never been to Moose Hill Farm before and decided to make a stop. It was such a beautiful evening and I loved walking around and enjoying the quiet of the farm. I am looking forward to visiting the farm again.

Walk in the Woods, Moose Hill

I had made a quick stop at Moose Hill Sanctuary in Sharon. I took a walk  on the Billings Trail. I have to say I was influenced by the photo of the board walk on the information center map board. I am so glad I took the walk. I went back this week for more photos and to explore more of the trails. I have been here before but not for quite some time.

What is one of your favorite places to visit?

Photowalk, Beacon Hill, Boston

Last week, I took a photo walk up Charles Street and around Beacon Hill with a friend. I always find things to photograph. I just love the storefronts and the vibrancy of this neighborhood. It did rain a bit so we took a break and got some funky sodas. The rain let up so we resumed photographing. I love just wandering from street to street.

Little lambs and …. A visit to Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon

On a whim I visited Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon, MA. It is only about a half hour from me and I have never been. It is kind of weird that I have never stopped here. It is along a busy road but,  it felt so peaceful. It must be lambing season. I spotted quite a few lambs and some very young ones jumping, eating and playing. They melted my heart.

Ward's is a nice place to buy veggies and flowers and has a store with local goods from around the area and thier farm. There are also a play area for children. The animals for me were the big draw as you can tell.

Relax, Winslow Animal Sanctuary

These are more photos of my visit to Winslow Animal Sanctuary. Many of the animal have been sheared for the summer. It was cool seeing all the raw wool hanging from a fence. Many of the animals were sleeping and relaxing during my visit and they were all kind of sweet. There were a few strutting chickens. Love the feathers!
