I like to call this the "beginning" or "before" post about the Motherbrook Arts & Community Center. I took a tour of the space on Tuesday. The building is the old Avery school built in 1921. There is a new beautiful elementary school down the street.
The Motherbrook Arts & Community Center plans to start renovations soon and move in by March 1st. The studio space consists of classrooms with large windows, great light and some nifty storage. Some of the spaces have a great view of the Blue Hills. The organization also plans having music, small art businesses, meeting space and a café
It will be fantastic to see this school come alive with the arts. Look for future posts.
