Swept Away, Museum of Arts and Design

The last museum we visited before going home was the Museum of Arts and design. I love this museum and was excited we were making the trip and they allow photography.

The First exhibit we visited was called Swept Away. Art made with dust and ash. It sounds not so great but I was pleasantly surprised. There was tons of interesting takes on this idea and some beautiful.

Smoke inside Glass Bottle by Jim Dingilian

The Delusion of Grandeur made from Raw Earth and Wood by Phoebe Cummings. After this exhibit we wandered the Glasstress, New York

Testa Mecanica by Jaime Hayon

Carrona by Javier Perez. This piece was brought in and then smash in the museum to get this effect. Very cool

Bestiarium: Maki by Marta Klonowska. This was my favorite piece.

Expanded Access by Michael Jo

The museum has these semi see through glass floors so you can look up and see people walking on them. I had to wait a few minutes to get this shot

From the exhibit Hanging Around: Necklaces from the MAD collection. This is made by Michael Petry

I hope that you enjoyed this, I did quite a bit. Jeff had never been to this museum so it was an extra treat for him
