The top photo is for my Mom. Some of my family members call her Patsy, short for Patricia. These are the last photos I took of New York on the trip. The last two were from the bus. We had a wonderful weekend.
Today is a beautiful Monday and hope to get lots of work done for my showing at the SOWA Art Walk. What are your plans?

The last museum we visited before going home was the Museum of Arts and design. I love this museum and was excited we were making the trip and they allow photography.
The First exhibit we visited was called Swept Away. Art made with dust and ash. It sounds not so great but I was pleasantly surprised. There was tons of interesting takes on this idea and some beautiful.
Smoke inside Glass Bottle by Jim Dingilian
The Delusion of Grandeur made from Raw Earth and Wood by Phoebe Cummings. After this exhibit we wandered the Glasstress, New York
Testa Mecanica by Jaime Hayon
Carrona by Javier Perez. This piece was brought in and then smash in the museum to get this effect. Very cool
Bestiarium: Maki by Marta Klonowska. This was my favorite piece.
Expanded Access by Michael Jo
The museum has these semi see through glass floors so you can look up and see people walking on them. I had to wait a few minutes to get this shot
From the exhibit Hanging Around: Necklaces from the MAD collection. This is made by Michael Petry
I hope that you enjoyed this, I did quite a bit. Jeff had never been to this museum so it was an extra treat for him

We had walked through Central Park and over to Clinton/Hell's Kitchen to get some yummy lunch at Marseille.. A yummy French lunch indeed. It was so tasty and I love going to this restaurant. I try to go every time we visit New York.
We brushed past Times Square to go to the International Center for Photography after lunch. NO photography in the museum. I really enjoyed the Magnum contact sheet exhibit, The Loving Story and the main exhibit Weegee: Murder is My Business. Weegee is a fascinating character and a self promoter in the funniest sense. His take on these scenes are very unique and ironic. Well worth the visit to the museum.

These girl were so funny. They were enjoying their day in central Park. I love the colored glasses of the girl sitting down. the other two girls wanted to keep going. I like that I was able to capture them looking back at their goofy friends.
Getting ready for two shows this weekend, Sowa Art Walk and Dedham Open Studios. I plan to show some new work. I better get going!
