Artful Reflection and Lunch, deCordova
We had a nice Sunday visit to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. It was a bit windy and cold so there was not much walking on the grounds for us. I was a bit sad about this but it was mighty windy. I did snap a fun photo of Douglas Kornfeld sculpture with a scarf on. Very fun! We visited the Museum to see thier Biennial 2012 show of local artists. Mary Lum and Photographer, Jonathan Gitelson was on of my favorites. I liked quite a bit of the show and some of I didn't. But, That what some art is about, to get you thinking about modern life as we know it. Well something like that.
I loved the glass art piece by Soo Sunny Park and Spencer Topel, Platform 8, Capturing Resonance. It is a glass and sound installation and worth the trip.
After all the art, we headed back to Dedham for a lunch at Summer Shack. Very yummy.
