End of the night

A fancy coffee drink at the end of a very fun, girls night out. The girls and I try to go out at least once a month. We like to meet at Silvertone and go from there. This photo was taken at Sel de la Terre on the waterfront. This is also a Lightroom experiment.

This is amazing!

The Castro, San Francisco

My friend, Tanya and I took a stroll around the Castro area of San Francisco. It was lively and full of fun windows and signs. I am drawn to unusual window displays and old neon signs. The signs seem to be an abundance in California. Lucky me!

Observations, Boston

More from the Boston Photo Mob walk. Ken, Amy and I went on to Bukowski's after our walk. We had a yummy lunch and I had a nice cold beer.

Church and...

More from my Boston Photo Mob adventure. These are taken in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. Except for the last photo which was near Massachusetts College of Art. It is kind of fun for graffiti.

I am recovering from Jet lag but, have a fun week of updated my photo, etsy. and graphic design sites ahead. I can't wait to renew everything.

Surfing Culture, Cali

We drove to San Francisco on Friday. We made a little pit stop by the Ocean. There were lots of fun things to photograph. We don't quite have the surf shops and surf culture on the east coast. Our waves are much smaller, unless there is a storm. I love all the tiki, sculls, and surfboard imagery.

Recently, I have a built up collection of photos to post to this blog. I feel I shouldn't go in order and give a variety of the things and places I have visited in the last few weeks. You know mix it up

socks and shops, Cambridge

This is really thrilling for me! I can't believe my finds along Massachusetts Avenue on the way to the Temple Bar, to meet friends. I have to go back soon. The stores were great and a bit wacky, too. The striped sock mannequin, thing is classic. Our meal and time at Temple Bar was very fun, too

I am in San Jose this weekend visiting friends and I hope to get lots of great shots

Looking at... Boston

I went on a two hour photowalk with the Boston Photo Mob. We walked from Kenmore Square to Roxbury. A kind of a big loop. It is so interesting to see all the changes within just two miles. It is also fun to see what people find interesting to photograph, the angles, the buildings, the landscape. I love that people bring really high-end cameras but also, point and shoot cameras. Everyone is welcome to bring what they have and go for it.

What are your favorite places to walk and maybe photograph?

Gather Here

We had our Crafty Meet-up at Gather Here in Cambridge this month. The store has a big table in the shop for us to gather. Despite the weather, it was well worth walking from the T to the store. I asked the owner Virginia if I could take some shots. She readily agreed. I love all the yarn, notions, fabric, etc. The store is beautifully decorated and put together. Virginia was so gracious to let us have our meeting here.

The craft meet-up was very fun as always. We had some new visitors to the group, Lydia of Sweet Lydia's and Susana DeVoe from Make Good Studios. We had some discussions about what we are all doing now, goals, shows and Etsy. Danielle of The Merriweather Council was sitting next to me (photo above) steadily working on her latest projects. I love to see people create

Heads behind the glass

These are so fun and quirky! They are in Central Square, Cambridge. It was such a rainy and icky day but I had to take a photo of these heads. I juggled my camera and umbrella and voila.
