Flea Market, Amsterdam

We took a trip to the Flea Market in Amsterdam. I find it fun to poke around all the stalls. People were selling mostly clothing, t-shirts, souvenirs, and antiques. I found a T-shirt for my brother and a cute scarf for me for only five euros. I like that. I loved all the mannequins, too.

Zuiderzee Museum - Folk Park

I am back from my vacation but still have some posts of our trip.
At the end our train, steam train and boat trip our eventual destination was the Zuiderzee Museum, a folk park featuring life in a dutch village at the turn of the century. It was quite a pretty place and fun to walk around and see some lively demonstrations.

Transportation

We took the metro to the central sation in Amsterdam. We had some time to get the train out to Hoorn, so we stopped for some coffee at the Grand Station Brasserie. It is a historic cafe in the station. In Hoorn, we hopped on a steam train to another town to catch a boat. We had time to get a bit of street food in the town and explore the outdoor market. Our eventual destination was a folk park on the coast.

Haarlem

We visited the lovely city of Haarlem on Sunday. It is a quick train ride from Amsterdam. We had a bit of lunch in the town square and toured the town's windmill. It was neat to explore this windmill, a symbol of Holland. The city had some quirky little shops, much like Amsterdam.

Wandering

Some more shots from wandering around Amsterdam, some serious and some not. I love the quirky charm of this historic city.

Museum Amstelkring

We visited this museum the other day. It has a secret catholic church hidden inside the attic of a 17th century merchant's home. It was fun to tour the house. The church was amazing with lots of religous art on the walls of the home. I feel in love with the primitive old kitchen. The tile was very quaint.
