Months back I had a post about visiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to see the Nasturtium flowers that are displayed every year. I was inspired to buy Nasturtium seeds and grow some of my own. I picked the Cherry Rose Jewel seeds. We have our first flower bloom. It was well worth the wait. This flower is just gorgeous.
I have been going through my photos to decide which, ones are appropriate for some photo necklaces. A post later on the necklaces. I revisited some photos and had a bit of fun with black and white.
My friend Nicole and I checked the Phantom Gourmet BBQ party today, despite the clouds there was a good crowd and lots of yummy food to eat. The food was from far away as Texas to some Massachusetts treats. Nicole took a ride on the mechanically bull but, was quickly thrown off. She was a great sport.
The sun finally came out the other day. I haven't seen it in a week, it seems. I took an very long walk around Dedham. It was cool to see the homes decorated for the Fourth of July. I made a pit stop at the Endicott Estate garden plots. Gladly, there was lots of thing growing despite the all the rain.
It was a fun trip and I took lots of photos. I never spent most of the day walking the streets of New York photographing, it was worth the sore feet. Some of it familiar from previous visits but some of it all new. A real treat.
On my walk I stopped to rest at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. It is quite different in the summer. With cafes and tons of people relaxing on benches and eating their lunches outside. I love the Art Deco architecture of the center. It is truly beautiful. 
After my stop at the center, I met my Uncle for lunch at Burger Heaven. It is close by Rockefeller center. It is had a fun, old fashioned feel and some great food. This mini chain has been serving burgers for over 50 years.
New York can be full of details and not so quiet, visually. It can be a feast for the eyes. I love all the signs, posters, murals, billboards and neon.
Dedham Square Farmer's Market last Wednesda,y when it was sunny! It seems like that is the last time I saw the sun. I bought some great tomatoes, bread, cookies, and fresh strawberries. Very cool and I am supporting my local farmers
