Flamenco

Part of my friend's wedding festivities was Flamenco dancing show. I love that when you like a movement or dance you get to shout your appreciation.

Flamenco- a style of dancing, characteristic of the Andalusian Gypsies, that is strongly rhythmic and involves vigorous actions, as clapping the hands and stamping the feet.

Summer is coming...

I was in Boston yesterday, going on errands and wandering around. I stopped by my favorite hot dog place in the Prudential center, Flamers. I also stopped by the Copley Farmer's Market. It is one of the first markets to open in the area. Vendors sell everything from plants, vegetables, fruits, honey, to meat. I bought some lettuce plants to plant this weekend

We ate next door to this motor hotel. I thought it was funny the pool was empty. On the web, some travel sites indicate the pool as one of the motor hotel amenities. This motor hotel had a bit part in the movie No Country for Old Men. I do love the sign for the motel, circa 1957.

Boston Handmade will have a group showing at SOWA on June 14. The SOWA Open Market happens every Sunday through October at 540 Harrison Ave in the South End of Boston. There is free parking, free admission, and live entertainment among a sea of talented artists and crafters so it is a great way to spend your Sunday!

Last year's Boston Handmade Marketplace in Union Square in Somerville was so successful we are doing it again! I am really looking forward to this show. It will be my first time. It should be really cool.

Love of Triple A Baseball

I love going to baseball parks especially Triple A. They have fun things like rides for the kids, kooky mascots and games on the field. We went to a Albuquerque, Isotopes game. It was a close game, but the Isotopes lost to Salt Lake City. We had lots of hot dogs with very green relish, popcorn, and a few beers. The fireworks were really cool, lots of oohs and ahhs.

We had lunch at this mini-chain in Albuquerque called Twisters. They serve some pretty great New Mexican food. I think it is ironic that my husband's shirt really says "eat more kale" which is healthy, unlike his meal in the photo.

Sepia Desert City

We were in Albuquerque for my friend's wedding. As a favor and a wedding present I photographed their wedding. We also, got to tool around the city a bit. I also, took a few walks, and photographed the neighborhood near the hotel and city center. I will be posting more photos over the next few days.

Pink Visitor

This little guy appeared on my side lawn along with two other pink friends. It was a nice surprise to come home too.

English Garden

We are currently in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a friend's wedding. They have a lovely English garden that will be the backdrop for their wedding. It is very beautiful and quite peaceful. A lovely setting for a celebration.

In the Nightime

I met some friends for drinks and Nachos at the Times Bar near downtown Boston, last night. We sat outside, it was a beautiful night. I was a little early for the train home so I tried to snap some pictures sans flash and tri-pod. Not too bad.

Weeds

Even dandelions can be beautiful, of course I don't like them in my lawn.  I have never looked at them this way, so close. They are truly delicate.

Nest

One of my favorite shops is in Dedham. Nest has oodles of fun stuff like housewares, art, jewlery, etc. It is owned by some local ladies who do a great job at finding treasures. I love the friendly atmosphere of shop and I have bought many unique gifts there for friends and family.
