Back Bay Walk

Some photos taken on my walk around Back Bay/Newbury Street area. The sink was outside as part of a store display for Sabon. Which, is a lovely little store I like to visit. I really love the girl with the pink hair photo, the pink really pops. More later...

Emmanuel Church, Boston, MA

Emmanuel Church - I visited the church the other day while walking up Newbury street. I have never been inside. The chapel was open during lunch time and I took a look around. I am so glad that I did. I meet a fellow photographer, Michael Scanlon, He gave some of the history of the chapel, which was built in 1924. The church itself was started in 1861 and the first building on Newbury St. To read more about the church check out their website.

Buddha-I was walking along Centre Street in Jamaica Plain and spotted this Buddha statue outside an antique shop. He looked so peaceful

Chroma Lab

One of my Favorite Esty shops is Chroma Lab. They find, repair, redesign and repaint pieces of neglected furniture. They feel that the greenest piece of furniture is one that already exists. Their pieces of furniture are colorful and have some great designs.

These clocks are all hand made, hand painted to order. I love the wonderful, bright colorful designs of these time pieces. The colors just pop.

I love Murals

They are murals in this Boston neighborhood everywhere, it seems. It is evidence of a vibrant and diverse community, plus they are fun to look at.

Peeps

I bought these for a project. It was so fun to photograph. I bent one of the peeps noses getting them out of the package but, I think it made it cuter.

Shopping Local

Yesterday, I met my friend for lunch at Samurai, Boston, we had a craving for sushi. After lunch, I took a walk around Newbury Street. I had been reading about this little shop, Oak. It was really wonderful, with all things handmade. Check it next time you are in Boston. I even spotted some cute children's dresses by "All the Numbers", a fellow Boston Handmade Member.

The other day while on Photowalk in Waltham, we came upon a shop called Gourmet Pottery. It has some lovely and fun things in the store, including these star lamps. It has everything for housewares to gifts. When in Waltham, it is well worth a look.

I took a photowalk with my friend Lillian, on Saturday. We walked all around Waltham's main and Moody streets. She had spotted this shop and thought of my mannequin photos. It was perfect. I have to say this was a wacky set of mannequins, so much fun. More Waltham photos later. We walked for hours so I have lots of photos.
