Chinatown, Boston

Jeff and I and our friends Darren and Candace decided to go into Boston the day after Thanksgiving from Dim Sum at China Pearl. the food was delicious and we were quite full when we left. My favorite is the crab handles. Along with Dim Sum we also bought some ingredients for lunch today at a chinese market, always an interesting experience.

Boston Handmade Holiday Market, Boston

The shop is shaping up. I went into Boston yesterday to help out with the shop. Wow! It has really come along. It looks fantastic. There are so many good things. I want to buy everything, of course. I think the weather will be good for Friday shopping!

The other night, Jeff and I ate at this  great restaurant called Townsend in Hyde Park. I had some yummy, mussels and pasta. I decided to go back the next day and photograph the area. There were lots of fun windows and this mural of the area residents. More tomorrow

It's in the details, Downtown Boston

I dropped off my art work today at Boston Handmade Holiday Market. I decided to take some time to walk around Boston and take some photos. It was a bit windy, but I walked on. Sometimes, I don't have an area in mind, I just wander. Today, I wandered from Downtown Crossing to The Financial District, I eventually got the train back to Dedham. Most of the photos are in Downtown crossing including, the third photo which is Locke-Ober

Nancy Rosetta has written about the Boston Handmade Market progress. Check it out

The Works, Boston

This was taken in the store we have the holiday market. It was stuck to the wall. Kind of curious.

Boston Handmade Downtown so far...

I worked at our new space yesterday. I thought the camera would come in handy. This is Brooke adjusting the store mirror.

Alex is doing some repair to one of the displays. The space looks really good. We all did some clean up and painting the partitions in the back.

This is the view of the front window displays. It has a funky Christmas tree and soon more were added. With merchandise they will look really inviting

We were able to get some fixtures and supplies from an out of business store down the street. Alex found some t-shirts. His signature part of his wardrobe.

This is the store loaded with the goodies we found. We were able to get some great stuff like fixtures, racks, christmas decorations, and my favorite, mannequins.

Jessica, Brooke, Lisa, and Alex, carting things down the street. It was quite comical!

Alex found this great jacket and hat. There was crazy stuff in this store and so much of it. It was cool that we were able to take advantage of the things there.

Greenhouse, Endicott Library, Dedham

This greenhouse is near Endicott Estate and Endicott Library. There is also a community garden there. With winter fast approaching the gardens are now empty except, for a few plants. In the spring and fall I buy flowers from this greenhouse. It is funny to see it all closed up waiting for spring.
