More Dublin and Guinness

This is the house we are staying in Bettystown, Ireland. It is north of
Dublin on the coast

We went to Dublin today. We took a tour of Guiness Brewery. It
was a fun tour. At the end the kids get a soda and we get a nice
glass of Guiness. The funny thing is we saw our next door neihgbors
from Dedham at the tour. They were visiting family in Ireland

Here is a quirky Dublin window photo. There are not many chain stores
in Dublin but there are some fun looking shops

These are some more arty photos of Dublin. Also, one of my favorite themes store windows. The other photo is a street scene. I thought it was very unusual. It was kind of quirky with the pidgeon hanging out on the top of the structure.

Snapshots of Dublin

These are some snapshots of Dublin. This is Dublin Castle, sadly the castle was booked for tours that day.

A view of the River Liffee. There are many bridges that cross the river. The river devides the city in two halfs.

This photo was taken in the temple bar area. We ate at one of the many restaurants there. A great many of us ordered a dish called a "boxty" It is a potato pancake with a choice of filling such a lamb or beef. It was very tasty.

Llama, Gore Place, Waltham, MA

I just thought this was a fun photo. The Llama was protecting the sheep on the Estate. We went there for my husband's company party, which was very fun.  It is a early 1800s Estate of Massachusetts governer Christopher Gore, the estate includes a small farm with sheep, goats and poultry. I found very beautiful and peaceful (

Shop Window, Downtown Boston

I think the colors are great in this Boston Macy's shop window. This window really caught my attention. The leggings against the black legs. This is the Ed Hardy clothing collection which has becoming popular

B&W vs. Color

I took this photo of old fashioned fuel pumps front of a bicycle shop in Dedham Square. I love the retro look of them. I often take pictures in color and make them black and white. It can be hard to decide what looks better color or B&W. There is a different feel to each of them.

Day at the beach

I was having fun with the watercolor filter in Photoshop, I applied it to this photo. We went to the beach in Dennis on the cape yesterday. It was very cloudy but, it was a nice day to hang
out on the beach and relax.

Garden in the city

I was walking around the South End the other evening and came upon a community garden. It seems like a great oasis from city life. This boy statue looks so peaceful among the flowers and plants. All the garden plots represented everyones individual style like this one pictured. I was envious of some of these gardens. Some of the gardens had such beautiful flowers and vegetables.

New York Street Scapes

New York Mosiac

This is a mosaic of what you might find when you visit New York City. I took along my Sony digital camera and decided to take quick snap shots of the city while we were walking around.

New York

We recently went to New York for the weekend. We always try to visit one of the many museums that New York has to offer. We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on this trip. The rooftop garden featured the work of Jeff Koons ( This is my husband Jeff, posing with one of the three sculptures. The roof has a great view of New York

JP Artisans Walk

I participated in The JP artisans walk last thursday. Many members of the Boston Handmade were there. The walk is the first Thursday of every month in Jamaica Plain, Boston. My Mom was there to help. She is pictured with my photographs

Sometimes, I like take photos of plants and flowers. This is much different from my other work. This is a recent photo I took in Sonoma, California. I love the natural pattern and the frosty green color. This photo almost looks like a painting.

My mom and I just recently went to Nantucket for the weekend. We spent some of my time walking around the town center looking for quirky things to photograph and dining at local restaurants. Nantucket has many small clothing, book, candy shops, tourist and bicycle rentals places. I like how there are not many chain stores on the island. I think that allows local businesses to thrive and be a little bit off beat.
